The Challenge
Most template platforms — Webflow, Canva, Framer, WordPress — offer large, general-purpose designs intended to work for everyone. But in practice, that flexibility becomes a limitation. Whenever I tried to customize these templates, they became slow, bloated, and difficult to adapt. Instead of speeding up the process, they added unnecessary layers of complexity. What I needed was something focused, lightweight, and actually shaped around the needs of a specific creative niche.
The Solution
I designed a simple, easy-to-customize template built specifically for filmmakers and actors. By narrowing the scope, I could create a structure that fits their workflow, showcases visual work effectively, and removes all the extra noise that makes general templates hard to manage. This project also allowed me to refine my design and product thinking while creating a tool that solves a real, recurring pain point.
